Perinatal Reporting Tool

The BC Perinatal Reporting Tool (PRT) is an interactive CD that allows for comparative reporting on significant perinatal events at:

  • Provincial level
  • Individual Institutional level
  • BC Health Authority level and
  • BC Health Service Delivery Area level.

The PRT contains a summarized data set abstracted from the BC Perinatal Database Registry. This data set contains no patient identifiers and is structured in such a manner to prevent accessing patient level data.

The information in the PRT is to be used for purposes of clinical evaluation, benchmarking, quality improvement, utilization management and administrative planning.
*The PRT being released in February 2008 will contain data up to 2006/2007 fiscal year discharges.
