The BC Facility Comparison Report provides each individual hospital providing obstetrical care in BC with a descriptive analysis of its perinatal outcomes and a comparison witha a peer group of hospitals of similar size (based on number of births) and with provincial outcomes. The intention of this report is that this feedback will support quality maintenance and improvement activities at local facilities.

Perinatal Reporting Tool |
|
|
The BC Perinatal Reporting Tool (PRT) is an interactive CD that allows for comparative reporting on significant perinatal events at:
- Provincial level
- Individual Institutional level
- BC Health Authority level and
- BC Health Service Delivery Area level.
The PRT contains a summarized data set abstracted from the BC Perinatal Database Registry. This data set contains no patient identifiers and is structured in such a manner to prevent accessing patient level data.
The information in the PRT is to be used for purposes of clinical evaluation, benchmarking, quality improvement, utilization management and administrative planning. *The PRT being released in February 2008 will contain data up to 2006/2007 fiscal year discharges. |
